Marshawn Lynch sits during national anthem at first pre-season game

Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch A.K.A Beastmode is back in his first pre-season game against the cardinals since his "retirement". Lynch has made headlines over the years for his little yet very large actions like back in 2015 during his super bowl media day interview when all the answers to any question was "I'm just here so I won't get fined."

This time Lynch is back in the spotlight again and has made yet another large statement by sitting down eating a banana during the national anthem. Raiders coach Jack Del Rio stated he didn't know that lynch was planning on not standing during the anthem. When Marshawn was asked about why he decided to sit during the anthem his response was "It's not a form of anything other than me being myself." Even though Marshawn was suited up on the sidelines of the game he never played, leaving us to wonder if he planned this the entire time due to what's going on in Charleston? Or if he just wanted to express how he felt about America in general? Coach Del Rio stated that he felt strongly about standing during the national anthem but he still respects lynch as a man, and his decisions, therefore to his coach Marshawn's actions wasn't much of a problem.

Is Marshawn considered a hero for this?
