According to journalist Jasmyne Cannick, Devund Tinson has found himself in a con that he can’t get out of! Tinson reportedly broke into a house in Inglewood, CA while the homeowners were away and literally set up shop inside the home. He changed the locks and made himself right at home. Tinson even created a fake lease to show police that he had a “right” to be in the home.

When the rightful homeowners came back home after being on vacation, you can imagine they were shocked to see a whole stranger living in the home they worked hard to have. They tried to get police involved, but because he had a “lease”, police told the homeowners they would have to battle it out in court.

It wasn’t until the neighbors complained and they came across Jasmyne’s 2021 article that exposed Devund as a known fraud, that police realized this was a unique situation. He was arrested shortly after.

People who are fond of Devund claim he was throwing house-warming parties and telling everyone that it was his home the whole time! 😩 This is absolutely crazy! via @hellojasmyne
